Huguenot Developer Explains Construction Is Going Forward

The pandemic has not affected one prominent New Rochelle developer who is going forward with construction on The Huguenot building.  Frank Chechile of highly regarded CAC Realty says, “The Governor’s order has identified the construction as an essential activity. So, there is no impact at this time, although we are proceeding with utmost caution to ensure the health and safety of everyone on our site.” 

There is much anticipation surrounding The Huguenot which will officially open in the fall of 2020 to much excitement. The building boasts 54,000 s/f of living space and 60-units in the heart of town, featuring seven apartments as affordable.

The Huguenot will have ground-floor retail, a community art gallery, a covered garage, rooftop garden with grills and a dog run, a modern fitness room, a community room with a fireplace, bike storage, pet care facilities, and more. Apartments, ranging from studios at $1,900, one-bedrooms at $2,400 and $3,000 for two-bedrooms, will feature stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, WiFi-controlled thermostats, in-unit washer and dryer, and built in closets.

When asked about why all the development in New Rochelle now, Frank Chechile of CAC Realty said, “ The city had the ability to foresee the opportunity to change the downtown; there is a need for housing in New Rochelle. We position The Huguenot as a ‘boutique’ apartment building. It’s brimming with amenities!” With the innovative building set to roll out and officially open in the fall of this year, It’s a brilliant and exciting time in New Rochelle. The Huguenot graces the city!
